PicoWay Laser System

Manufactured by Syneron Candela (USA), PicoWay is a picosecond laser that delivers ultra-short pulses in trillionths of a second. This speed shatters tattoo ink into tiny particles your body can eliminate naturally. PicoWay treats all ink colours on all skin types, including the difficult blues and greens that older lasers struggle with.
ERAZE was the first clinic on the Gold Coast to offer PicoWay technology, including the 730nm wavelength for treating pigmentation on darker skin types.

Quanta Q Plus C

Our Italian-made Quanta Q Plus C is a medical-grade Q-switched laser with three true wavelengths (1064nm, 532nm, 694nm). This complements PicoWay by providing additional treatment options for stubborn inks and specific pigmentation concerns.
ERAZE Laser Clinic is the only clinic in Australia housing both PicoWay and Quanta Q Plus C lasers, giving us unmatched versatility in tattoo removal.

MIRA Cooling System

Our MIRA cryo cooling machine delivers cold air directly to the skin before, during and after laser treatment. This reduces discomfort, minimises thermal injury and speeds recovery. How does mole removal at ERAZE work?
ERAZE uses innovative high-frequency technology that seals the skin as it removes the mole or skin tag lesion. This method minimises bleeding, leaving a temporary superficial scab which falls off in a short time resulting in a smooth skin surface. No cutting and no stitches are required.
How many treatments are needed for mole removal?
Usually one treatment is sufficient to remove each lesion. However, for moles that have a larger mass lying beneath the skin, you may require 2 or 3 treatments.

What can I expect after mole removal treatment?
Provided it is left to heal naturally (generally 5 to 10 days), there is rarely any scarring at the treatment site. There may be a slight colour difference in the treated skin compared to surrounding skin, but this fades over time.

What types of growths can be removed?
Growths treated include moles, skin tags, seborrheic keratoses, warts, verruccas, milias and other raised lesions. The technique is particularly effective for facial growths and fleshy growths called skin tags.

Is mole removal suitable for all skin types?
Yes, the procedure is very affordable and suitable for all skin ages and skin types. The technique doesn’t leave an ugly scar and the healing period is short.

Do you check if moles are safe to remove?
Yes. Every consultation includes a visual assessment of each mole or lesion. We only perform cosmetic removal on benign growths. If we identify any features that require further evaluation, we refer you to a dermatologist or skin cancer clinic before treatment. We recommend regular skin checks with a GP or specialist, particularly if you have a history of sun exposure or changing moles.

Is mole removal painful?
Most clients experience minimal discomfort. We apply local anaesthetic before treatment, and the procedure itself takes only minutes. Many clients tell us it’s less painful than an eyebrow wax. Some mild tenderness may occur during healing, but this typically resolves within a few days.

Is this laser or radiofrequency treatment?
Our method uses high-frequency electrosurgery, which delivers controlled radiofrequency energy to precisely remove tissue. Unlike traditional laser ablation or surgical excision, this technique removes the growth while simultaneously sealing blood vessels, resulting in minimal bleeding and faster healing.

How does this compare to surgical excision?
Surgical excision involves cutting out the mole and stitching the wound closed. Our high-frequency method removes the growth without cutting into surrounding tissue and requires no stitches. This typically results in smaller scars and shorter healing times. Surgical excision may be more appropriate for deeper moles or those requiring pathology testing.

Will the mole grow back?
Complete removal means the treated mole will not return. Occasionally, if pigment cells remain deep in the skin, some regrowth can occur. This is more common with deeper moles. If any regrowth appears, we can perform a follow-up treatment. New moles may develop elsewhere on the body over time due to sun exposure and ageing.

Is mole removal covered by Medicare?
Medicare covers mole removal only when there’s clinical suspicion of skin cancer and the specimen is sent for pathology testing. Cosmetic removal for appearance reasons is not covered. Our high-frequency method is a cosmetic procedure and is not eligible for Medicare rebates. If your mole requires surgical excision with pathology, we can refer you to an appropriate specialist.
